Safeguarding & Player Welfare

Player welfare comes before performance. RPD.Football aims to provide a positive, respectful environment where young players can learn, make mistakes and develop confidence.

Parents and guardians

A parent or legal guardian should make or approve bookings for players under 18 and provide accurate emergency contact and relevant health information. Parents and guardians should make the coach aware of any issue that could affect safe participation.

Session environment

Coaching should be age-appropriate, purposeful and respectful. Bullying, discriminatory behaviour, intimidation or conduct that creates an unsafe environment is not acceptable.

Communication

For young players, important booking, payment and welfare communication should be directed through the parent or guardian wherever appropriate.

Photography and video

Attendance at a session does not automatically create permission for identifiable player media to be used in RPD.Football marketing. Appropriate permission should be obtained separately for identifiable promotional use.

Injury and illness

Players should not take part where illness or injury makes participation unsafe. The coach may modify or stop a player's participation where there is a reasonable safety concern.

Raising a concern

A parent, guardian or player can raise a welfare concern directly with Coach Bradley through the Contact page, by email at bradley@rpdfootball.com or WhatsApp 07951 072339. Where a concern requires referral to a club, governing body, emergency service or other appropriate authority, it should be handled through the relevant safeguarding process.
